An analysis of soft breaking under the constraint of modular invariance is given. The role of dilaton and moduli dependent front factors in achieving a modular invariant ${V}_{\mathrm{s}\mathrm{o}\mathrm{f}\mathrm{t}}$ is emphasized. Further, it is shown that in string models $\mathrm{tan}\ensuremath{\beta}$ is no longer a free parameter but is determined in terms of ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{\mathrm{s}\mathrm{t}\mathrm{r}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{n}\mathrm{g}}$ and the other soft parameters by the…

Upper limits on sparticle masses from WMAP dark matter constraints with modular invariant soft breaking
An analysis of dark matter within the framework of modular invariant soft breaking is given. In such scenarios inclusion of the radiative electroweak symmetry breaking constraint determines tanβ
The Hunt for New Physics at the Large Hadron Collider
The Large Hadron Collider presents an unprecedented opportunity to probe the realm of new physics in the TeV region and shed light on some of the core unresolved issues of particle physics. These
Phenomenological aspects of heterotic orbifold models at one loop
We provide a detailed study of the phenomenology of orbifold compactifications of the heterotic string within the context of supergravity effective theories. Our investigation focuses on those models

Supersymmetric dark matter and Yukawa unification
An analysis of supersymmetric dark matter under the Yukawa unification constraint is given. The analysis utilizes the recently discovered region of the parameter space of models with gaugino mass
WMAP constraints, supersymmetric dark matter, and implications for the direct detection of supersymmetry
Recently WMAP has measured the cosmological parameters to a much greater accuracy. We analyze the implications of this more precise measurement for supersymmetric dark matter and for the direct
Naturalness, weak scale supersymmetry, and the prospect for the observation of supersymmetry at the Fermilab Tevatron and at the CERN LHC
Naturalness bounds on weak scale supersymmetry in the context of radiative breaking of the electroweak symmetry are analyzed. In the case of minimal supergravity it is found that for low
Supersymmetric mass spectrum in SU(5) supergravity grand unification.
A detailed analysis of predictions of SU(5) supergravity grand unification within the framework of radiative breaking of SU(2){times}U(1) is given. The masses of the 31 new supersymmetric particles

Within a class of superstring vacua which have an additional nonanomalous U(1){sup {prime}} gauge factor, we address the scale of the U(1){sup {prime}} symmetry breaking and constraints on the exotic
Modular invariance, soft breaking, and tan in superstring models
Abstract We go beyond parameterizations of soft terms in superstring models and investigate the dynamical assumptions that lead to the relative strength of the dilaton vs. the moduli contributions in
Classification of three-family grand unification in string theory. II. The SU(5) and SU(6) models
We give a classification of three-family SO(10) and E{sub 6} grand unification in string theory within the framework of conformal (free) field theory and asymmetric orbifolds. We argue that the
The role of Wino content in neutralino dark matter
We investigate the dark matter prospects of supersymmetric models with nonuniversal gaugino masses at low values of tan{beta}. We find that for particular values of the ratio of soft
Partial wave treatment of supersymmetric dark matter in the presence of CP violation
We present an improved partial wave analysis of the dominant lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) annihilation channel to a fermion-antifermion pair which avoids the nonrelativistic expansion being
b → sγ decay in supergravity grand unification and dark matter
Abstract An analysis of the b → sγ is given in supergravity grand unification using the framework of the radiative breaking of the electro-weak symmetry under three separate sets of constraints: 1)
