It is shown that if a metric in quantum gravity can be decomposed as a sum of classical and quantum parts, then Einstein quantum gravity looks approximately like modified gravity with a nonminimal interaction between gravity and matter.

Modified gravity from the nonperturbative quantization of a metric

It is shown that quantum corrections of the quantum fluctuating metric give rise to modified gravity.

Modified Teleparallel Gravity induced by quantum fluctuations

Effects of quantum fluctuations of metric on the universe

Cosmological implications of modified gravity induced by quantum metric fluctuations

We investigate the cosmological implications of modified gravities induced by the quantum fluctuations of the gravitational metric. If the metric can be decomposed as the sum of the classical and of

f(R) Gravity

A review of the new of the problem of dark energy using modified gravity approach is considered. An explanation of the difficulties facing modern cosmology is given and different approaches are

Effects of Quantum Metric Fluctuations on the Cosmological Evolution in Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker Geometries

In this paper, the effects of the quantum metric fluctuations on the background cosmological dynamics of the universe are considered. To describe the quantum effects, the metric is assumed to be

Quantum Cosmology of f(R, T) gravity

Modified gravity theories have the potential of explaining the recent acceleration of the Universe without resorting to the mysterious concept of dark energy. In particular, it has been pointed out

Spinor field solutions in F(B2) modified Weyl gravity

We consider modified Weyl gravity where a Dirac spinor field is nonminimally coupled to gravity. It is assumed that such modified gravity is some approximation for the description of quantum

Confronting quantum-corrected teleparallel cosmology with observations

It has been shown that at the semi-classical order, gravitational theories with quantum fluctuations can be effectively recast as modified theories of gravity with non-minimal gravity-matter

Dynamical $F(R)$ gravities

It is offered that $F(R)-$modified gravities can be considered as nonperturbative quantum effects arising from Einstein gravity. It is assumed that nonperturbative quantum effects gives rise to the

Quantum Fields in Curved Space

This book presents a comprehensive review of the subject of gravitational effects in quantum field theory. Although the treatment is general, special emphasis is given to the Hawking black hole

Introduction to the Unified Field Theory of Elementary Particles

The present book contains a series of lectures which have been given at the University of Munich during the summer term 1965, with the hope to draw the attention of the younger generation of

The Case for a positive cosmological Lambda term

Recent observations of Type 1a supernovae indicating an accelerating universe have once more drawn attention to the possible existence, at the present epoch, of a small positive Lambda-term
