The reaction between H2 S a nd ZnO fine particles (T302 desulfurizer) was studied. The experiment results show that at the temperature below 573K, the reaction has stopped before the complete conversion of ZnO particle is obtained. In order to explain the phenomenon, the modified shrinking core model is put forward on the basis of the change of the porosity of solid product layer during the reaction in the present work.
