Uptake characteristics and growth-inhibitory effects of methylglyoxal bis(guanylhydrazone) (MGBG), a competitive inhibitor of S-adenosylmethionine decarboxylase, were investigated in 9L rat brain tumor cells and in V79 hamster lung cells.
