Models of mixtures of peripherally charged dendrimers with oppositely charged linear polyelectrolytes in the presence of explicit solvent are studied by means of molecular dynamics simulations. Under the influence of varying strength of electrostatic interactions, these systems appear to form dynamically arrested film-like interconnected structures in the polymer-rich phase. Acting like a pseudo-thermodynamic inverse temperature, the increase of the strength of the Coulombic interactions drive…
Computer simulations of dendrimer-polyelectrolyte complexes.
TLDR
Generally, maximum complexation was observed in systems with an equal amount of net dendrimer and LPE charges, whereas either excess LPE or dendedrimer concentrations resulted in reduced clustering between dend rimers.

Enzyme-responsive doxorubicin release from dendrimer nanoparticles for anticancer drug delivery
TLDR
DendGDP has improved anticancer activity when compared with doxorubicin or DendDP in an in vivo CT26 tumor xenograft model, and can be used as a cathepsin B-responsive drug targeting strategy.

TLDR
It can be suggested that dend-h3-MPEG-enro conjugate nanoparticles could be used to deliver antibacterial drug selectively to the mammary gland by exploiting the over expression of cathepsin D during mastitis.
