This paper presents the modeling of wind energy systems using MATLAB Simulink. The model considers the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technique to track the maximum power that could be extracted from the wind energy, due the non-linear characteristic of the wind turbine. The model consists of wind generation model, converter model (DC-DC converter), and MPPT controller.
