Phosphorus is a limited resource in arid region, and its efficient use is a main task for sustainable agriculture. The main objective of this work is to determine the kinetics of P release from ElNubaria sandy soil represents new reclaimed areas in Egypt, treated with prepared compost and chemical fertilizers applied individually or mixture and cultivated with corn under two irrigation regimes, i.e. 80 and 60% of calculated irrigation requirements. Four kinetic models i.e. modified Freundlich… Expand

Potassium in Atlantic Coastal Plain Soils: II. Crop Responses and Changes in Soil Potassium Under Intensive Management
Corn (Zea mays L.) grown on sandy Atlantic Coastal Plain soils is often unresponsive to applications of K fertilizer. The purpose of this investigation was to examine the response of irrigated,Expand
EFFECTS OF TEMPERATURE AND SOIL‐WATER CONTENT DURING INCUBATION ON THE DESORPTION OF PHOSPHORUS FROM SOIL
We studied the effect of time, temperature, and soil-water content during incubation on the subsequent desorption of phosphorus from Bernow fine sandy loam (Glossic Paleudalfs) and Houston Black clayExpand

DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW RHIZOBOX SYSTEM TO STUDY THE NUTRIENT STATUS IN THE RHIZOSPHERE
TLDR
Several problems remain to be solved, such as the amount of sample which is very small for chemical determinations of nutrients and the extent to which roots affect the availability of nutrients. Expand
KINETICS OF PHOSPHORUS DESORPTION FROM APPALACHIAN SOILS1
We investigated the release of P from 10 surface and subsurface soil horizons, using four kinetic equations (Elovich, modified Freundlich, parabolic diffusion, and first-order) to describe theExpand
Characterization of soil phosphorus by anion exchange resin adsorption and P32-equilibration
SummaryAdsorption of phosphate by the anion-exchange resin Dowex-2 was investigated. The resin adsorbed small quantities of P from solution quantitatively. The rate of P-adsorption by resin agitatedExpand
A KINETIC APPROACH TO THE DESCRIPTION OF SOIL PHOSPHATE STATUS
Summary A kinetic factor is used to describe soil phosphate status. It is supplementary to capacity and intensity factors which are essentially static factors. The rate of release ofExpand
