Accelerators, radar, medical radiation production and ionization systems utilize short-duration, high voltage pulses. The pulses for these applications are usually generated by pulse modulators, which often use a pulse transformer to generate high output voltages. An accurate transformer model is a necessity. In this paper a transformer model based on the Jiles-Atherthon method is proposed to simulate such pulse transformers.
