Within the ViSE (Voting in Stochastic Environment) model, we study social dynamics determined by collective decisions in a society with an elite. The model allows analyzing the influence of participants' social attitudes, such as selfishness, collectivism, lobbying, altruism, etc., on the welfare of the society and its strata. Social dynamics is determined by the change in capital over time, as well as formation and dissociation of groups. We show that the presence of responsible elite, which…

Strategies of voting in stochastic environment: Egoism and collectivism
- EconomicsArXiv
- 2009
It was established that, except for some special cases, the collectivists have advantages, which makes realizable the following scenario: on the conditions of protecting the corporate interests, a group is created which is joined then by the egoists attracted by its achievements, and group egoism approaches altruism.
The Optimal Majority Threshold as a Function of the Variation Coefficient of the Environment
- EconomicsAutom. Remote. Control.

This work presents expressions for the optimal majority threshold and the maximum expected capital increment as functions of the parameters of the environment.
Analytical expression of the expected values of capital at voting in the stochastic environment
- EconomicsArXiv
- 2009
In the simplest variant of the model of collective decision making in the stochastic environment, the participants were segregated into egoists and a group of collectivists and analytical expressions of the expected values of the capitals of participants, collectivist and egoists were obtained.

Voting Rules in a Changing Environment

Inclusive voting rules are rules that require the approval of a greater set of policy makers than a simple majority. Using a dynamic voting model with stochastic shocks, we identify a novel…

We analyze a bargaining situation in which preferences evolve over time and the previous agreement becomes the next status quo. The endogeneity of the status quo exacerbates the players’ conflict of…
