Driving safety and ride comfort of cross-country vehicles can be improved with the help of a controlled spring/suspension system. The present paper describes the impact of a semiactive and partially active chassis system on the driving behaviour of a cross-country 8x8 wheeled vehicle. The mobility analysis is based on a multibody vehicle model used for simulating crosscountry drives and handling.
