The mitochondrial displacement loop (D-loop) controls mitochondrial expression, with mutations and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content linked to oncogenesis. We investigated D-loop polymorphisms and mtDNA content in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
