Ten new species of the genus Newportia Gervais, 1847, are described, belonging to the subgenus Newportia Gervais, 1847; Newportides Chamberlin, 1921 and Scolopendrides Humbert & Saussure, 1896. Drawings with of the significant characters for each species are presented. A map shows tipical localities for all known species for Venezuela.
