The weighted L2-norm total variation multiplicative regularized Gauss-Newton inversion method, recently developed for inversion of low-frequency deep electromagnetic geophysical measurements, is used for microwave biomedical imaging. This inversion algorithm automatically adjusts the regularization weight and provides edge-preserving characteristics.
