“Click Peptide“: pH‐Triggered in Situ Production and Aggregation of Monomer Aβ1–42
The unique features of a pH click peptide based on an O‐acyl isopeptide method that is quickly able to convert into Aβ1–42 through an O-to‐N intramolecular acyl migration are demonstrated.
Hexafluoroisopropanol induces self‐assembly of β‐amyloid peptides into highly ordered nanostructures
It is shown that the dissolution of Aβ40, 42, and 43 in HFIP followed by drying results in highly ordered aggregates, suggesting that the molecular architecture of these structures is amyloid‐like.
