We have previously described the nuclear area factor (NAF) as one indicator of cell shape changes associated with apoptosis. NAF changes during apoptosis would be expected to be most dramatic for highly morphologically polarized cells such as brain cells. To test this we carried out analysis of NAF changes in Jurkat cells, which are normally round in shape.
