OBJECTIVE To evaluate whether base excision repair gene polymorphisms contributed to susceptibility of chromosomal damage induced by vinyl chloride monomer (VCM). METHODS Cytokinesis block micronucleus test was performed on 185 VCM-exposed workers to detect chromosomal damage in peripheral lymphocytes.
