Localization of type 2 plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI-2) was investigated immunohistochemically in postmortem brain tissue of control subjects and patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Both the mouse monoclonal and the goat polyclonal antibodies to PAI-2 stained microglia. Reactive microglia were stained more intensely than resting microglia.
