Microbiological production of gluconic acid by Egyptian mould fungi

A local strain of Asp. phoenicis proved to be a good gluconic acid producer. Previous experiments carried out on this organism were extended to investigate the influence of some culture conditions on the acid production when the submerged technique was applied. These included the investigation of the influence of the nature and concentration of the nutritive constituents of the fermentation medium.
