Isoxsuprine hydrochloride (ISX) is chemically known as 4-hydroxy-[1-[(1-methyl-2-phenoxyethyl) amino] ethyl] benzenemethanol hydrochloride (Figure 1). It is used in the treatment of cerebral and peripheral vascular disease, and to arrest premature labor[1].
