  • To test the hypothesis that hypoglycemia unawareness is largely secondary to recurrent therapeutic hypoglycemia in IDDM, we assessed neuroendocrine and symptom responses and cognitive function in 8 patients with short-term IDDM (7 yr) and hypoglycemia unawareness.
