A high sensitive electrochemical sensor based on methionine/gold nanoparticles (MET/AuNPs) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was fabricated for the quantitative detection of hydroquinone (HQ). The as-modified electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques.
