Summary The metazoan parasites were investigated of two flatfish the common sole, Solea solea (n:140) and the scaldfish, Arnoglossus laterna (n: 22) in the Sinop coast of Black Sea from June 2015 to June 2017. A total of 15 metazoan parasite species belonging to Digenea (6), Cestoda (3), Acanthocephala (1), Nematoda (4) and Isopoda (1) taxonomic groups were identified. Solea solea was found to be infected by Condylocotyla pilodora, Proctoeces maculatus, Opecoelidae gen. sp., Metadena sp…

NEW HOST RECORD OF ECHINOCEPHALUS OVERSTREETI DEARDORFF AND KO (1983) (NEMATODA: GNATHOSTOMATIDAE) FROM THE COMMON SEA BREAM PAGRUS PAGRUS (SPARIDAE) OF THE RED SEA IN EGYPT
TLDR
In the present study, thirtyfive fish specimens of the common sea bream Pagrus pagrus (Sparidae) were collected from a location along the Red Sea at Hurghada city, Cairo, Egypt and the nematode parasite Echinocephalus overstreeti was isolated from the peritoneal cavity of infected fish attached externally to host viscera.

The species is redescribed on the basis of newly collected material from the Gemlik Bay, Sea of Marmara and a key to the species of Solearhynchus is provided.
First Report of Several Myxosporean (Myxozoa) and Monogenean Parasites from Fish Species off Sinop Coasts of the Black Sea
TLDR
All parasite species identified are new records for Turkish parasite fauna and S. rebae is a new myxosporean parasite of the Black Sea fauna.
Helminth parasites of digestive tract of some teleost fish caught in the Dardanelles at Çanakkale, Turkey
TLDR
Most of these species are well known in both the Mediterranean and Black Seas, but the Dardanelles appears to be the limit of the range of Anisakıs simplex.
Parasitic copepods of the common sole, Solea solea (L.), from the Eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey
TLDR
Taxonomic information on two species of sea lice (family Caligidae) collected from S. solea in eastern Mediterranean waters off the Turkish coast is provided and this is the first report of C. brevicaudatus in Turkish waters.
Caligus solea n. sp. (Copepoda: Caligidae) parasitic on the common sole Solea solea (Linnaeus) from the north-eastern Mediterranean off the Turkish coast
TLDR
A new species of caligid copepod is described from the common sole Solea solea (Linnaeus) caught off the north-eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey, which differs from its congeners within the macarovi-group in the number of sensillae on each papilla on and around the postantennal process, and the absence of serrations along the distal margin of the maxilla.
Grillotia erinaceus (van Beneden, 1858) (Cestoda:Trypanorhyncha) from whiting in the Black Sea, with observations on seasonality and host-parasite interrelationship
TLDR
Infection indices of Grillotia erinaceus from southern and northern Black Sea whiting Merlangius merlangus for the first time are provided.
The life-cycle of Capillaria gracilis (Capillariidae), a nematode parasite of gadoid fish
TLDR
Various polychaetes, crustaceans and tish species, including cod and flatfish, were refractory to infection with larvated eggs, but the parasite cannot transfer from one cod to another through predation.
