We investigate the modification of the magnetic dipole resonance of a silicon nanosphere, which is illuminated by a focused azimuthally polarized beam, induced by a metal substrate. It is found that the magnetic dipole of the silicon nanosphere excited by the focused azimuthally polarized beam and its image dipole induced by the metal substrate are out of phase.
