This paper is the third in a series of papers on M81 globular clusters. In this paper, we present spatial and metal abundance properties of 95 M81 globular clusters, which comprise nearly half the entire M81 globular cluster system. These globular clusters are divided into two M81 metallicity groups by a KMM test. Our results show that the metal-rich clusters did not demonstrate a centrally concentrated spatial distribution the way the clusters in M31 do, and metal-poor clusters tend to be less… Expand

Metal Abundance and Kinematical Properties of M81 Globular Cluster System
In this paper, we presented metal abundance properties of 144 M81 globular clusters. These globulars consist of the largest globular cluster sample in M81 till now. Our main results are: theExpand
SAO RAS 6-m telescope spectroscopic observations of globular clusters in nearby galaxies
We present the results of medium-resolution spectroscopy of 28 globular clusters (GCs) in six nearby galaxies of different luminosities and morphological types, situated in M33 (15 objects), M31Expand
A repeating fast radio burst source in a globular cluster
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are extremely luminous and brief radio flashes originating from other galaxies (Petroff et al. 2019). Progressing our understanding of the FRB phenomenon is limited by theirExpand

Spectroscopy of Globular Clusters in M81
We present moderate-resolution spectroscopy of globular clusters around the Sa/Sb spiral galaxy M81 (NGC 3031). Sixteen candidate clusters were observed with the Low Resolution Imaging SpectrographExpand
The Kinematics and Metallicity of the M31 Globular Cluster System
With the ultimate aim of distinguishing between various models describing the formation of galaxy halos (e.g., radial or multiphase collapse and random mergers), we have completed a spectroscopicExpand
The globular cluster system of M31
Previous data on globular cluster candidates in M31 have been studied in order to identify a large sample of clusters with reliable UBV photometry and independent reddening estimates. TheExpand
Globular Cluster Systems. I. V−I Color Distributions
We have compiled data for the globular cluster systems of 50 galaxies from the Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 archive, of which 43 are type S0 or earlier. In this paper, weExpand
M31 Globular Clusters: Colors and Metallicities* ** ***
We present a new catalog of photometric and spectroscopic data on M31 globular clusters (GCs). The catalog includes new optical and near-infrared photometry for a substantial fraction of the 435Expand
Compositions of halo clusters and the formation of the galactic halo
A method of abundance determination based on reddening-independent properties of low-resolution spectral scans is described and applied to 177 red giants in 19 globular clusters, most of which are atExpand
Globular Cluster Systems in Brightest Cluster Galaxies: Bimodal Metallicity Distributions and the Nature of the High-Luminosity Clusters
We present new (B, I) photometry for the globular cluster systems in eight brightest cluster galaxies (BCGs), obtained with the ACS/WFC camera on the Hubble Space Telescope. In the very rich clusterExpand
Extragalactic globular clusters. II, The M31 globular cluster system
Metallicities for 150 globular clusters associated with M31 are derived using the strengths of six absorption features in the cluster-integrated spectra. The properties of the M31 cluster system areExpand
M31 Globular Clusters in the HST Archive: I. Cluster Detection and Completeness
Globular clusters at the distance of M31 have apparent angular sizes of a few arcseconds. While many M31 GCs have been detected and studied from ground-based images, the high spatial resolution ofExpand
Properties of Globular Cluster Systems in Nearby Early-Type Galaxies
We present a study of globular clusters (GCs) in 17 relatively nearby early-type galaxies, based on deep F555W and F814W images from the Wide Field Planetary Camera 2, on board the Hubble SpaceExpand
