Nine metabolites of albendazole were identified in the urine of cattle, sheep, rats, and mice which had been given the labeled drug orally. Metabolic conversions included oxidation at sulfur, alkyl and aromatic hydroxylation, methylation at both nitrogen and sulfur, and carbamate hydrolysis.
