Cell proliferation, terminal differentiation, and angiogenesis occur during cycles of follicular and luteal development. In other paradigms, mac25, a potent tumor inhibitor is strongly induced in senescent epithelial cells, whereas CTGF stimulates angiogenesis and wound healing.
