BACKGROUND Nowadays, removal of heavy metals from the environment is an important problem due to their toxicity. OBJECTIVES In this study, a modified method was used to synthesize chitosan-coated magnetite nanoparticles (CCMN) to be used as a low cost and nontoxic adsorbent.
