Thirty-eight patients with malignant melanoma of the mucosa in the nasal and oral cavity have been treated at the Radium Centres in Arhus, Copenhagen and Odense in the years from 1956 to 1978. Twenty cases were localized to the nasal cavity and the nasal sinuses, and 18 cases to the oral cavity and oropharynx. Twenty-nine patients had local tumors, eight had local lymph node metastases, and one patient had lung metastases.
