1. Introduction Multiple wh-constructions, mostly of the Slavic type, have received considerable attention in recent minimalist literature. The present article demonstrates that Hungarian exhibits (at least) three syntactic patterns of multiple wh-questions, and relates these three syntactic patterns in a principled way to different focus structures.
