Mechanisms of memory in learning automata.

If neural activity is modelled within an automaton framework, neural processes may be conveniently described in terms of state trajectories. Mechanisms of memory are investigated in such a model and it is shown how short-term and long-term storage may be explained in terms of simple and interrelated feedback configurations.
