  • Abstract Piribedil at 30 mg/kg intraperitoneally (i.p.) induces a marked increase of MOPEG-SO 4 without affecting NA levels. At higher doses (60 mg/kg) both an increase at MOPEG-SO 4 , and a decrease of NA levels can be observed. The ratio MOPEG-SO 4 -NA is 0.9. The Piribedil effect on MOPEG-SO 4 levels is mainly confined to the cortex-hippocampus. These effects of Piribedil on MOPEG-SO 4 are similar to those described for amphetamine.
