The preparation and mechanical properties of elastomeric nanocomposite hydrogels consisting of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) are reported. The aqueous nanocomposite CNC/PEG precursor solutions covalently cross-linked through a one-stage photocross-linking process.
