Wavefront analysis using a scanning slit refractometer (the OPD-Scan) was evaluated in both artificial and human eyes, in comparison with the Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor (H-S) currently often used. Comparison of different methods and configurations carried out in the artificial eyes yielded basically the same results in moderate refractive error cases.
