This paper models driver behaviour in a way that allows us to define the driver's overall driving skills in a fruitful manner. Thus, the model enables us to capture the main influence of training courses on driving. The model's results are seen in the light of a Norwegian investigation that concluded that slippery surface driving courses have increased traffic accident rates significantly.
