  author={Cms Tracker Collaboration},
Jet charge is an estimator of the electric charge of a quark, antiquark, or gluon initiating a jet. It is based on the momentum-weighted sum of the electric charges of the jet constituents. Measurements of three charge observables of the leading jet in transverse momentum pT are performed with dijet events. The analysis is carried out with data collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in proton-proton collisions at √ s = 8 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1. The… Expand

Jet charge at the LHC.
A systematically improvable method is developed to calculate moments of these charge distributions by combining multihadron fragmentation functions with perturbative jet functions and pertubative evolution equations, which can provide a validation tool for data independent of Monte Carlo fragmentation models. Exclusion of exotic top-like quarks with -4/3 electric charge using jet-charge tagging in single-lepton tt̄ events at CDF
We report on a measurement of the top-quark electric charge in ttbar events in which one W boson originating from the top-quark pair decays into leptons and the other into hadrons. The event sampleExpand

Calculating the charge of a jet
Jet charge has played an important role in experimentally testing the Parton Model and the Standard Model, and has many potential LHC applications. The energy-weighted charge of a jet is not anExpand
Measurement of jet charge in dijet events from s =8 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
