We present measurements of branching fractions and CP-violating asymmetries for two-body neutral B meson decays to charged pions and kaons based on a sample of about 88x10(6) Upsilon(4S)-->BB decays. From a time-independent fit we measure the charge-averaged branching fractions B(B0-->pi+pi-)=(4.7+/-0.6+/-0.2)x10(-6), B(B0-->K+pi-)=(17.9+/-0.9+/-0.7)x10(-6), and the direct CP-violating charge asymmetry A(Kpi)=-0.102+/-0.050+/-0.016 [-0.188,-0.016], where the ranges in square brackets indicate…

Evidence for CP violating asymmetries B0 ---> pi+ pi- decays and constraints on the CKM angle phi(2)

We present an improved measurement of CP-violating asymmetries in B-0-->pi(+)pi(-) decays based on a 78 fb(-1) data sample collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB

Improved measurement of the partial-rate CP asymmetry in B +→K0π+ and B -→K̄0π- decays

We report an improved measurement of the partial-rate CP asymmetry in B±→K0π± decays. The analysis is based on a data sample of 85×106 BB pairs collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle

Direct CP violation, branching ratios and form factors B → π, B → K in B decays

The B ? ? and B ? K transitions involved in hadronic B decays are investigated in a phenomenological way through the framework of QCD factorization. By comparing our results with experimental

An analysis of the time-dependent CP asymmetryin $B \to \pi \pi$ decays in the standard model

Abstract.Measurements of the time-dependent CP-asymmetry in the decay $B^0_d (t)\to \pi^ + \pi^-$ and its charge conjugate by the BELLE and BABAR collaborations currently yield $C_{\pi \pi}^{ + -} =

Isospin constraints from/on B → ππ

The Standard Model constraints on α which can be derived from the B → ππ decays are revisited in some depth. As experimental inputs, the B 0 → π + π - , B + → π + π 0 decays complemented by the B 0 →

B ---> eta(eta-prime) K(pi) in the standard model with flavor symmetry

The observed branching ratios for $B\to K \eta'$ decays are much larger than factorization predictions in the Standard Model (SM). Many proposals have been made to reconcile the data and theoretical

Charmless B → PP decays using flavor SU(3) symmetry

The decays of B mesons to a charmless vector (V ) and pseudoscalar (P) meson are analyzed within a framework of flavor SU(3) in which symmetry breaking is taken into account through ratios of decay
