The cross section for production of charged hadrons with high transversemomenta in scattering of 160 GeV/c muons off nucleons at low photonvirtualities has been measured at the COMPASS experiment at CERN. The results, which cover transverse momenta from 1.1 to 3.6 GeV/c, are compared to anext-to-leading order perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (NLO pQCD)calculation in order to evaluate the applicability of pQCD to this process inthe kinematic domain of the experiment. The shape of the…

Recent COMPASS results on the nucleon longitudinal spin structure and QCD fits
The latest measurements of the proton longitudinal spin structure function, ɡ 1 p , in the deep inelastic (DIS) regime are presented. They improve the statistical accuracy of the existing data and
$A_{LL}(p_T)$ for single hadron photoproduction at high $p_T$
In order to understand the gluon contribution to the nucleon spin, some experiments can study the production of hadrons at high transverse momemtum from lepton-nucleon or nucleon-nucleon scattering.
Longitudinal spin structure of the nucleon: COMPASS legacy
The COMPASS collaboration has dedicated a large fraction of its already twenty year long existence to the study of the polarised structure of the nucleon. This presentation addresses two of the
Photon Reconstruction and Partial-Wave Analysis of Three-Body Final States with Neutral Particles at COMPASS
The study of the light-meson spectrum is one of the major goals of the COMPASS experiment at CERN. The mesons are produced in diffractive reactions of a high-energy pion beam with a liquid-hydrogen

Soft-gluon resummation for high-p T inclusive-hadron production at COMPASS
One of the experiments that may be used to probe the nucleon's gluon distribution is the fixed-target lepton scattering experiment COMPASS at CERN, where charged hadrons with high transverse momentum
Longitudinal double-spin asymmetry and cross section for inclusive neutral pion production at midrapidity in polarized proton collisions at s=200 GeV
We report a measurement of the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry A(LL) and the differential cross section for inclusive pi(0) production at midrapidity in polarized proton collisions at s=200 GeV.
Identified charged hadron production in p + p collisions at √ s = 200 and 62.4 GeV
Transverse momentum distributions and yields for pi(+/-), K-+/-, p, and (p) over bar in p + p collisions at root s = 200 and 62.4 GeV at midrapidity are measured by the PHENIX experiment at the

Cross section ratios for deep-inelastic scattering from 14 N and 3 He with respect to 2 H have been measured by the HERMES experiment at DESY using a 27.5 GeV positron beam. The data cover a range in

Longitudinal double-spin asymmetries of charged hadrons with high transverse momentum pT have been measured in electroproduction using the Hermes detector at Hera. Processes involving gluons in the
Threshold resummation for the inclusive-hadron cross section in pp collisions
We study the resummation of large logarithmic perturbative corrections to the partonic cross sections relevant for the process pp{yields}hX at high transverse momentum of the hadron h. These
Do we understand the single-spin asymmetry for $\pi^0$ inclusive production in pp collisions?
Abstract. The cross section data for $\pi^0$ inclusive production in pp collisions is considered in a rather broad kinematic region in energy $\sqrt{s}$, Feynman variable xF and transverse momentum
