The radioactive parameters in the Spanish regulations on water intended for human consumption (law decree 140/2003) have been determined in 30 different brands of some of the most common bottled mineral waters produced and consumed in Spain. These waters are not included in this legislation but if their consumption increases, the dose of radiation in the population may also increase.
