We consider the measure problem in standard slow-roll inflationary models from the perspective of loop quantum cosmology (LQC). Following recent results by Ashtekar and Sloan, we study the probability of having enough e-foldings and focus on its dependence on the quantum gravity scale, including the transition of the theory to the limit where general relativity (GR) is recovered. Contrary to the standard expectation, the probability of having enough inflation, that is close to one in LQC, grows…

Note on the super-inflation in loop quantum cosmology
Abstract Phenomenological effect of the super-inflation in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) is discussed. We investigate the case that the Universe is filled with the interacting field between massive
A quantum gravitational inflationary scenario in Bianchi-I spacetime
We investigate the 2 inflationary model in the Bianchi-I spacetime using the effective spacetime description of loop quantum cosmology to understand the issues of the resolution of initial
Probability of warm inflation in loop quantum cosmology
Warm inflation is analyzed in the context of Loop Quantum Cosmology (LQC). The bounce in LQC provides a mean through which a Liouville measure can be defined, which has been used previously to
Probability of inflation in loop quantum cosmology
Inflationary models of the early universe provide a natural mechanism for the formation of large scale structure. This success brings to forefront the question of naturalness: Does a sufficiently
Phenomenology analysis of duration inflation for tachyon field in loop quantum cosmology
Assuming that the e-folding number is just determined by the change of the scale factor, the tachyonic inflation theory in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) has been discussed. Considering the tachyon
Genericness of pre-inflationary dynamics and probability of slow-roll inflation in modified loop quantum cosmologies
We study the evolution of spatially flat FLRW universe for chaotic and Starobinsky potentials in the framework of modified loop quantum cosmologies. These models result in a non-singular bounce as in
Duration of inflation and conditions at the bounce as a prediction of effective isotropic loop quantum cosmology
Loop quantum cosmology with a scalar field is known to be closely linked with an inflationary phase. In this article, we study probabilistic predictions for the duration of slow-roll inflation, by
Background Dynamics of Pre-inflationary Scenario in Brans-Dicke Loop Quantum Cosmology
Recently the background independent nonperturbative quantization technique has been extended to theories of gravity and the corresponding quantum effective cosmology has been derived, which provides
Genericness of pre-inflationary dynamics and probability of the desired slow-roll inflation in modified loop quantum cosmologies
We study the evolution of spatially flat Friedmann-Lema\^{i}tre-Robertson-Walker universe for chaotic and Starobinsky potentials in the framework of modified loop quantum cosmologies. These models
Loop quantum cosmology of k = 1 FLRW: effects of inverse volume corrections
We consider the k = 1 Friedman–Lemaitre–Robertson–Walker model within loop quantum cosmology, from the perspective of the two available quantization prescriptions. We focus our attention on the

Loop quantum cosmology and slow roll inflation
In loop quantum cosmology (LQC) the big bang is replaced by a quantum bounce which is followed by a robust phase of super-inflation. Rather than growing unboundedly in the past, the Hubble parameter
Probability of inflation in loop quantum cosmology
Inflationary models of the early universe provide a natural mechanism for the formation of large scale structure. This success brings to forefront the question of naturalness: Does a sufficiently
Robustness of key features of loop quantum cosmology
A small simplification based on well-motivated approximations is shown to make loop quantum cosmology of the $k=0$ Friedman-Robertson-Walker model (with a massless scalar field) exactly soluble.

Quantum gravity is expected to be necessary in order to understand situations where classical general relativity breaks down. In particular in cosmology one has to deal with initial singularities,
Nonsingular bouncing universes in loop quantum cosmology
Nonperturbative quantum geometric effects in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) predict a {rho}{sup 2} modification to the Friedmann equation at high energies. The quadratic term is negative definite and
Cosmic recall and the scattering picture of Loop Quantum Cosmology
The global dynamics of a homogeneous Universe in loop quantum cosmology is viewed as a scattering process of its geometrodynamical equivalent. This picture is applied to build a flexible (easy to
Loop Quantum Cosmology
TLDR
L loop quantum cosmology is an application of loop quantum gravity to homogeneous systems, which removes classical singularities and introduces the main effects of quantum effects into effective classical equations, which allow one to avoid the interpretational problems of quantum theory.
Measure problem in cosmology
The Hamiltonian structure of general relativity provides a natural canonical measure on the space of all classical universes, i.e., the multiverse. We review this construction and show how one can
Geometric perspective on singularity resolution and uniqueness in loop quantum cosmology
We reexamine the issue of singularity resolution in homogeneous loop quantum cosmology from the perspective of geometrical entities such as expansion rate and the shear scalar. These quantities are
Onset of inflation in loop quantum cosmology
Using a Liouville measure, similar to the one proposed recently by Gibbons and Turok, we investigate the probability that single-field inflation with a polynomial potential can last long enough to
