Abstract A network of seven high-elevation white spruce tree-ring chronologies from the southwest Yukon is used to reconstruct June–July maximum temperatures ( T max ) back to 1684 AD, explaining 46.6% of the climatic variation over the 1946–1995 calibration period. The chronologies are characterised by low interannual ring-width variability and display similar patterns of ring-width variation across the sample area over the last 300 years.
