An antiserum against meiotic proteins which bind to DNA cellulose was generated as a tool to assist the identification and purification of microsporogenesis-specific proteins. In immunoblotting experiments, this antiserum identified three meiotic proteins which are differentially expressed in anthers during microsporogenesis.
