A bstractWe study localization of five-dimensional supersymmetric U(1) gauge theory on S3×ℝθ2$${\mathbb{S}}^3\times {\mathbb{R}}_{\theta}^2$$ where ℝθ2$${\mathbb{R}}_{\theta}^2$$ is a noncommutative (NC) plane. The theory can be isomorphically mapped to three-dimensional supersymmetric U(N → ∞) gauge theory on S3$${\mathbb{S}}^3$$ using the matrix representation on a separable Hilbert space on which NC fields linearly act. Therefore the NC space ℝθ2$${\mathbb{R}}_{\theta}^2$$ allows for…

SUSY gauge theories on squashed three-spheres
• Physics
• 2011
We study Euclidean 3D $\mathcal{N} = 2$ supersymmetric gauge theories on squashed three-spheres preserving isometries SU(2) × U(1) or U(1) × U(1). We show that, when a suitable background U(1)
Noncommutative electromagnetism as a large N gauge theory
We map noncommutative (NC) U(1) gauge theory on ℝCd×ℝNC2n to U(N→∞) Yang–Mills theory on ℝCd, where ℝCd is a d-dimensional commutative spacetime while ℝNC2n is a 2n-dimensional NC space. The

Large-N reduction for N=2 quiver Chern-Simons theories on S^3 and localization in matrix models
• Physics

We study reduced matrix models obtained by the dimensional reduction of N=2 quiver Chern-Simons theories on S^3 to zero dimension and show that if a reduced model is expanded around a particular
5D super Yang–Mills theory and the correspondence to AdS7/CFT6
• Physics
• 2013
We study the relation between 5D super Yang–Mills theory and the holographic description of 6D (2, 0) superconformal theory. We start by clarifying some issues related to the localization of N=1?>
Matrix models for 5d super Yang–Mills
In this contribution to the issue on localization in gauge theories we investigate the matrix models derived from localizing N=1 super Yang–Mills on S5. We consider the large-N limit and attempt to
N=4 SYM on R x S^3 and Theories with 16 Supercharges
• Mathematics
• 2006
We study N=4 SYM on R x S^3 and theories with 16 supercharges arising as its consistent truncations. These theories include the plane wave matrix model, N=4 SYM on R x S^2 and N=4 SYM on R x S^3/Z_k,

It is shown that all NC U(1) instantons of Nekrasov-Schwarz type are mapped to asymptotically locally Euclidean (ALE) gravitational instantons by the exact SW map and that the NC gauge theory of U-1 instantons is equivalent to the theory of hyper-Kähler geometries.
Perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of complex Chern-Simons Theory
We present an elementary review of some aspects of Chern–Simons theory with complex gauge group SL(N,C). We discuss some of the challenges in defining the theory as a full-fledged TQFT, as well as
