Mathematical analysis of novel compression algorithm used in OFDM for security

Abstract

Today the most promising modulation technique is Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and have adopted for wireless and wired communication standards. A number of carriers spread regularly over a frequency band in a way that the available bandwidth is utilized to maximum efficiency. A lot of resources are required to send data wirelessly and to save the resources data is to be compressed. When the data is compressed the size of the data is reduced and hence reduced resources will be required to send the reduced sized data. In this paper a new compression algorithm is proposed for both text and image based on bit quantization which can compress the data to approximately 50% and requires less encoding and decoding delay and is highly efficient.
