This study examines the prevalence of low birth weight (LBW) among infants and its association with maternal risk factors in Manhyia District Hospital of Kumasi Metropolis in Ghana. Thiswas a facility study based on a cross sectionalstudy from the maternity ward of the hospital.A sample o f 1,200women with in the reproductive age (15 49 years) across the district and beyond between 2010 and 2012 were selected from a total delivery of 24,025 fo r the survey.
