Massless Fermions in Finite Volumes

Abstract

We show that in the nite volume perturbation theory no zero-energy modes for the fermions appear and that chiral symmetry is unbroken in small volumes. We discuss the innuence of the massless fermions on the glueball spectrum in a nite cubic volume for an arbitrary number of avours in both SU(2) and SU(3).
