Abstract An instance of acute massive hemorrhage from a previously asymptomatic cecal carcinoma requiring emergency resection is presented. No other similar presenting symptom complex could be found in available literature. This case demonstrates the necessity for considering lesions of the ascending colon as a cause of massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
