A complete theoretical study is presented for the disappearance of flow, for the first time, by analyzing 15 reactions with masses between 47 and 476 units. We demonstrate that the effect of nucleon-nucleon cross-section reduces to insignificant level for heavier colliding nuclei in agreement with previous studies. A stiff equation of state with nucleon-nucleon cross-sections of 35-40 mb is able to explain all the measured balance energies within few percent. A power law is also given for the…

Geometry of vanishing flow: A new probe to determine the in-medium nucleon–nucleon cross-section
Abstract. We studied the transverse flow throughout the mass range from 20Ne + 20Ne to 131Xe + 131Xe as a function of the impact parameter. We found that at smaller impact parameters the flow is
Effect of momentum dependent interactions and nucleonic cross-section on directed flow (v1)
Abstract The descriptive analysis for the effect of momentum dependent interactions and nucleonic cross-section (isospin dependent and isospin-independent) on the neutron–proton directed flow ( v 1
Directed transverse flow and its disappearance for asymmetric reactions
We study the directed transverse flow for mass asymmetry reactions. This is done by keeping the target fixed and varying the projectile mass from 4He to 131Xe. We find that directed transverse flow
Influence of momentum-dependent interactions on balance energy and mass dependence⋆
Abstract. We aim to understand the role of momentum-dependent interactions in transverse flow as well as in its disappearance. For the present study, central collisions involving masses between 24 and
Isospin effects on the energy of vanishing flow in heavy-ion collisions
Using the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model we study the isospin effects on the disappearance of flow for the reactions of 58Ni + 58Ni and 58Fe + 58Fe as a function of the impact
Role of the mass asymmetry of reaction on the geometry of vanishing flow
Abstract We study the transverse flow throughout the mass asymmetry range as a function of the impact parameter, keeping the total mass of the system fixed. We find that the geometry of vanishing
On the elliptical flow and mass asymmetry of the colliding nuclei
Abstract A study of elliptical flow is carried out for different mass asymmetries of colliding nuclei using the reactions of Cr 50 24 + Ru 102 44 ( η = 0.3 ), S 32 16 + Sn 120 50 ( η = 0.5 ) and O 16
Isospin effects in flow, its disappearance and other related phenoemna
We study the role of isospin degree of freedom in reaction dynamics via transverse in-plane flow and its disappearance for isobaric as well as isotopic colliding pairs. Our findings reveal that for
Anisotropic distribution of nucleon participating in elliptical flow
Abstract Using the isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin dependent cross-section on d N d ( 〈 cos 2 ϕ 〉 ) and d N p t d p t .
On the multifragmentation around the energy of vanishing flow using isospin-dependent model
Abstract We analyze the fragmentation of colliding nuclei around the energy of vanishing flow (EVF) and evaluated its mass dependence throughout the periodic table using isospin-dependent quantum
