In order to extract hidden joint information from two possibly uncorrelated time-series, we explored the measures of network science. Alongside common methods in time-series analysis of the economic markets, the mapping joint structure of two time-series onto a network provides insight into hidden aspects embedded in the couplings. We quantise the amplitude of two time-series and investigate relative simultaneous locations of those amplitudes. Each segment of a quantised amplitude is considered…

Analysis of the Global Banking Network by Random Matrix Theory
This paper analyzes the global banking network via the method of Random Matrix Theory on a cross border lending network and shows that while the connectivity between different parts of the network has risen and the profile of transactions has diversified, the role of hubs remains important in the weighted perspective.
Growth Dynamics of Value and Cost Trade-off in Temporal Networks
The growth and trade-off between value and cost in the networks with cost and preferential attachment together are investigated by combining preferential attachment in the science of temporal networks (interval graphs), and, the first-order differential equations of value andcost of making links, the future equilibrium of an evolving network is illustrated.

Serotonin receptor diversity in the human colon: Expression of serotonin type 3 receptor subunits 5‐HT3C, 5‐HT3D, and 5‐HT3E
It is revealed, for the first time, that 5‐HT3C, 5-HT3D, and 5‐ HT3E subunits are coexpressed with 5‐ht3A in cell bodies of myenteric neurons.
Effects of pilot hole preparation technique on pedicle screw fixation in different regions of the osteoporotic thoracic and lumbar spine.
Tapping decreased pedicle screw pullout resistance in the osteoporotic human lumbar spine, although it did not affect pullout strength in the thoracic spine, and surgeons should optimize overall construct rigidity when placingThoracic pedicle screws.
Power and energy profiling of scientific applications on distributed systems
The results indicate power profiles are often regular corresponding to application characteristics and for fixed problem size increasing the number of nodes always increases energy consumption but does not always improve performance, which suggests smart schedulers could be used to optimize for energy while maintaining performance.
Risk factors for lower limb lymphedema after lymph node dissection in patients with ovarian and uterine carcinoma
There was no relationship between any surgical procedure and occurrence of lymphedema among patients undergoing pelvic lymphadenectomy and the findings are supported by a sound biological rationale because they suggest that limb lyMPhedema is caused by pelvic lymph node dissection.
Coupling detrended fluctuation analysis for analyzing coupled nonstationary signals.
This article has calculated the multifractal properties of the coupled time series, and by comparing CDFA results of the original series with those of the shuffled and surrogate series, it can estimate the source of multifractality and the extent to which the series are coupled to each other.

Characterization of a Human Keratinocyte HaCaT Cell Line Model to Study the Regulation of CYP2S1
Results demonstrate regulatable and functional CYP2S1 expression in HaCaT cells, thus identifying a human cell line model with utility for further analysis of CYP 2S1 regulation and substrate specificity.
