Two winter oilseed rape mutant lines, 7488 and 19661, with a high oleic (HO) acid content in the seed oil were characterized phenotypically. In both mutant lines the HO trait was monogenically inherited. Segregation analysis in an F2 population derived from a cross between 7488 and 19661 showed the two mutations to be allelic.
