We examine the interplay of interaction and disorder for a Heisenberg spin ladder system with random fields. We identify many-body localized states based on the entanglement entropy scaling, where delocalized and localized states have volume and area laws, respectively. We first establish the quantum phase transition at a critical random field strength $h_c \sim 8.5\pm 0.5$, where all energy eigenstates are localized beyond that value. Interestingly, the entanglement entropy and fluctuation of… Expand

Characterizing many-body localization via state sensitivity to boundary conditions
We introduce characterizations for many-body phase transitions between delocalized and localized phases based on the system's sensitivity to boundary conditions. In particular, we change boundaryExpand
Many Body Localization in 2D Systems with Quasi-Random fields in X and Y Directions.
Many body localization (MBL) is a phenomena that allows for the preservation of quantum information for long times. We study a variation of the disordered-Heisenberg model, which is known to exhibitExpand
Stochastic and long-distance level spacing statistics in many-body localization
From the random matrix theory all the energy levels should be strongly correlated due to the presence of all off-diagonal entries. In this work we introduce two new statistics to more accuratelyExpand
Characterization of many-body mobility edges with random matrices.
Whether the many-body mobility edges can exist in a one-dimensional interacting quantum system is a controversial problem, mainly hampered by the limited system sizes amenable to numericalExpand

Signatures of quantum chaos in the dynamics of bipartite fluctuations
Abstract We study the signatures of quantum chaos by using the concept of bipartite fluctuations in the kicked two-site Bose–Hubbard model, which can be mapped to the well-studied kicked top model.Expand
Multi-dimensional image edge localization method based on edge symmetry algorithm
A video vehicle detection algorithm based on edge symmetry is proposed, which integrates the edge features and symmetry characteristics of vehicle images, improves the reliability and accuracy of the video vehicles detection algorithm, and has fast detection speed and has strong adaptability to outdoor environment changes.
